Little sister at the hospital

The story goes a little like this... One sunny day in Liberty, Utah a young girl (we will call her little sister) was playing amongst the trees. She was enjoying the sounds of the birds singing and lovingly petting the horses noses. Little sister and her best friend decided to run into the front yard to play. When all of a sudden her mother heard the sound of little sister crying in pain. She had been stung by a bee. Best friend held her had tight while mother pulled out the stinger, rushed her into the house and cleansed her foot. Feeling that everything was going to be alright, little sister went off to Vacation Bible School with her brother, sister and friends. She had a wonderful time singing songs and learning about Jesus. However when she went home that night her foot began to hurt. She woke up and climbed in bed with mother who noticed her foot was a little red around the bee sting. Little sister had been stung by bees before so mother was not worried. When Little sister woke up her leg really hurt and walking to the bathroom made her hip hurt. She told mother and it shocked mother to see her foot swollen. Mother had little sister lay down and take some medicine to help with swelling. The swelling did not go away so off to the doctors they went. The Dr. did not take very good care of little sister he gave her a shot of antibiotics and sent her home. Mother could feel God telling her to take little sister back to the hospital. So off to the E.R. they went along with Star (who is little sisters big sister). Star was such a comfort to little sister. The E.R. doctor was really mad at the dr. who saw little sister that day. He said that she needed to stay in the hospital with IV antibiotics because the infection was so severe. If you look closely at the picture above you can see the red streaks going up her leg.

Little sister was in the hospital for 3 nights. The next picture show the infection as it was beginning to go away. When little sister stepped on the bee and it stung her foot, it broke the skin just enough to allow some bacteria to enter her body. It took two different antibiotics to heal her foot. After three nights she could finally put weight on her foot and was able to come home. This was such a hard time for little sister. Her blood was drawn three times, she was given two different antibiotics every 8 hours. Which means she was woken up at midnight every night.

This next picture is of little sister, showing just how little she is in the big hospital bed. She is feeling much better in this picture. We are all so happy that we live in a time where a serious infection can be healed in a matter of days. We give God all the praise for little sisters fast recovery.

God is our great physician, if any have a need, prayer is a good prescription. God did not have to heal little sisters foot, but we are all to happy that He did.
