Some Fall Highlights

This was definitly the highlight of the year! Alicia and Lance were married on August 15th. He surprised her with a honeymoon in Hawaii where they spent most of their time on the beach. They came home with amazing tans. After a quick party to open gifts and enjoy time with them they moved to St. George, which is about 6.5 hours from us.

In June Lily joined our family. Aubrey took this beautiful picture of her. She is turning out to be an amazing dog. She can already entertain us with her many tricks. She has a giant amount of energy and requires 2 walks a day in order for us to keep our sanity. If she misses a walk we pay for it in the late hours of the day when we are ready for some quiet.

 In November we were able to visit Alicia and Lance in St. George. Aubrey had a gymnastics meet there. I didn't get any pictures of the meet... sorry. I love this picture of my family peering over the edge of the red rock.

We took a quick stop at Zions National Park. It was a little cold and we didn't have time to hike any of the trails. We did enjoy the scenic drive through and a picnic lunch. Jayda found some animal tracks by the river and was so excited that she was able to identify them.

Below are some pictures of the kids enjoying themselves during P.E. at co-op. We are part of a homeschool cooperative that is growing by leaps and bounds. Each year we try to teach the kids new skills. In P.E. this years goal is to teach the kids how to stay healthy for a lifetime.

 My brother came to visit before heading to Afghanistan. We had an amazing time with him and his family. Unfortunately all my pictures are blurry due to the fact that the kids were all so excited to be together and had a hard time holding still.

Joe was able to celebrate his birthday with his brother. Dan came to visit us from Maryland. We haven't seen him in almost 8 years. What a joy it was to have him here in Utah. I love this picture because when we all lived close to each other the brothers always wrestled with the children. Nothing has changed except the children are bigger. This is after they wrestled with Nico, who is 16 and plays football for his highschool. Good times!
